Who Will be Caesar?
|
One of the most highly anticipated events in the poker world is the NBC National Heads Up Poker Championships.
This is the tournament that pits pros against each other in a field that allows only one on one action,
allowing for some of the most dramatic moments in poker history. Temper tantrums, sharp jeers, maybe even a fist
fight you'll never know what to expect from the Heads Up Championship. Now, as the line up of players for
the tournament takes shape, people are starting to speculate on the possibilities, and quite interesting ones too at that.
One on One
This year, the NBC National Heads Up Poker Championship is set to take place on March 5 at the Caesar's Palace in Vegas.
This is one of the top venues for a high profile event, perfect for the star studded line up of the best pros. On March 4,
however, all the pros will assemble at the Pure Nightclub for a special draw party. This will be the only time that we will get
to see who will be pitting their skills against each other.

A Star studded Field
There will be 64 pros in all who will make an appearance, but only seven participants have been confirmed. Among the biggest
names that will appear for this year's Heads Up Championship are Phil Ivey, widely considered to be the best poker player
in the world, and Joe Cada, the winner of last year's WSOP Main Event. Cada considers himself to be a heads up specialist,
so his performance on the tournament will surely be one to watch. Phil Hellmuth will also be coming back to the felt, and he's
sure to be a goldmine of entertainment too. We'll surely be treated to his oh so welcome hand analysis coupled with
his ok you won but you're stupid to have played that hand act.
Still, he may be a sore loser, but everybody has to admit that Hellmuth is one of the best and most interesting players around.
Huck Seed is also going to show up, and with him being the best record holder for this tournament, everyone's waiting for
him to make waves again for this year's season. Daniel Negreanu will also be making an appearance, and so will Vanessa Rousso,
and Chris Ferguson. Really, we've only heard of seven confirmed players in all, but already the field is looking so impressive.
We're bound to have one of the most explosive Heads Up Championships this 2010.
