FullTilt has been making some good choices when it comes to the poker pros they have chosen to add to the FullTilt Poker team, and they have now made one more good addition. James Dempsey has now been added to the team. This is a good name for an online poker site to include to its list of team players and he should do well with the very popular online poker site.

Who is James Dempsey?

James Dempsey is a professional poker player who grabbed hold of the poker scene and amazed many when he took the WSOP by surprise this year and won more than a million dollars in online winnings. He has now earned himself the title of the FullTilt Red Pro. This is one of the greatest titles a player can earn for themselves when it comes to online poker. He will now join WSOP bracelet winners Richard Ashby and Praz Bansi. This is one poker player that has gained a lot of recognition in a somewhat short period of time.

What's in store for James Dempsey now?

Now a WSOP bracelet winner for the $1500 Pot Limit Hold 'em event, Dempsey, a.k.a. "Flushy" a.k.a. "The Doctor," says, "I couldn't be more excited. This is a such a dream of mine. I've worked very hard for this over the years and to have won a bracelet and now this – it's just fantastic." His first appearance as Full Tilt Red Pro will be at the Full Tilt Poker Million that will air later in the month in the UK on Sky Sports. In addition to a bracelet, this year at the WSOP, Dempsey cashed four times, one of which included a second place finish to Sam Farha at the $10K Omaha Hi/Lo event. Dempsey first came onto the scene back in 2005. Over the years he steadily made a name for himself with a string of impressive wins and cashes. When not playing poker, Dempsey enjoys golf and semi-pro bocce. He's also dabbled in staking players Brent Horner and Richard Hare, but backed off to work on his PhD. You may have heard his name in the past involving a controversy between Dempsey and Julian Thew regarding who purchased the last stake of Simon Trumper in the $10K PLO WSOP event. Dempsey got the percentage, but not without payback. Thew paid Dempsey's roommate to shave Dempsey's head while he was asleep, and he did.
