Greentube started in Vienna in 1998 under the name Durrschmid&Reisinger OEG. In 2000 it changed to Greentube I.E.S. AG. Greentube now has offices in Germany and Malta also. Greentube started mainly from development of 3D online Games with seasonal free tournaments and in game advertising. These games include Ski Challenge, Football Challenge, Mountain Bike Challenge and many more. These games are still being developed till today and they have also been implemented into promotional campaigns for companies like the launch of the new Polo model for Volkswagen, Mazda and more. Shortly after, Greentube started development on Online Skill Games which could be played directly from internet browsers. These include a variety of traditional, card, board and arcade games. These acquired a large audience and market, putting Greentube on the front of the Gaming Industry and being one of the first to develop and offer such games. After much success in the Skill Gaming market and with the implementation of skill games into Online Casinos and Poker sites, Greentube then advanced to the development of their own Casino, Poker and Bingo software. Since all software was created from scratch, much work and detail was put to ensure that these games were as close as possible to the feeling, atmosphere and experience spent playing in land based casinos. In January 2010, Astra Games, a Novomatic-owned company, acquired 70% of Greentube I.E.S. AG – the company name has been changed to Greentube I.E.S. GmbH and now forms the backbone of the online gaming sector in the Novomatic companies. |
